5 Fertility Recipes To Cook This Week

You know food affects your fertility. But what exactly should you be eating to optimise it? That bit's trickier.

Here are five of my favourite recipes from my evidence-based cookbook. No restriction and no being told to "just relax", just really good food that's also doing a lot for your egg and sperm health, your cycles and implantation.

Roast veggie salad with halloumi, croutons and a honey, mint and caper dressing

What you're getting

  • Seaweed Eggs — five minutes, one pan, and probably my favourite recipe in the whole book. Seaweed is such an underrated fertility food. Iodine for your thyroid, plus iron, magnesium, selenium and zinc.
  • Roast Veggie Salad with Honey, Mint and Caper Dressing — halloumi, crunchy croutons, and a dressing you'll want to put on everything. Blood sugar balanced and anti-inflammatory, which is most of the job done.
  • Jammy Fennel and Tomatoes with Walnut Pesto and Burrata — this one's for him. Walnuts and slow-cooked tomatoes are both linked to healthier sperm, and it tastes like a restaurant made it.
  • Tuna Mango Salad with Sticky Pumpkin Seeds — fresh and herby, creamy from the avocado and mango. Make double the pumpkin seeds, trust me.
  • Florentines — dark chocolate, cranberries, almonds and pumpkin seeds. Quietly full of zinc and magnesium, because a fertility diet you can't stick to isn't going to do much for you.
